Bachelor of Elementary Education

The BEEd is an undergraduate teacher education degree program designed to prepare individuals intending to teach in the elementary level.

Possible Career Path/s

After successful completion of all academic requirements of the degree/program, graduates of BEEd should be able to practice the teaching profession in the elementary level.

BSEd

Bachelor of Secondary Education

The BSEd is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learner with adequate and relevant competencies to teach in their chosen area of specialization / major in the secondary level.

After successful completion of all academic requirements of the degree/program, graduates of BSEd should be able of practice the teaching profession in the secondary level.

BECEd

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education

The BECEd is a four-year program. Specifically, this program provides students with fundamental understanding and application of the principles of early childhood care and education, as well as experience in the application of these principles.

Possible Career Path/s

The BECEd program is designed to prepare students for teaching and supporting young children’s development. A broad range of employment opportunities are available by fulfilling the degree requirements. Completion of the appropriate program will qualify graduates for employment in government or private institutions.

BSNEd

Bachelor of Special Needs Education - Generalist

The Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNED) is an undergraduate degree program designed to offer the latest methodologies, appropriate tools, effective interventions and modifications to meet the requirements of children with special needs within the general range of disabilities.

Possible Career Path/s

Graduates of BSNEd (Generalist) may be employed in special education centers/clinics as special education teachers, therapists, or clinicians. They can also work in regular schools that practice inclusion as learning support staff and as special education teachers.

CPE

Continuing Professional Education

The Continuing Professional Education (CPE) is a program that provides knowledge and training in basic professional education courses. The CPE program includes topics in the principles of education, educational psychology, principles and techniques of teaching as well as the measurement, evaluation and practicum in managing and monitoring student learning.

Possible Career Path/s

Unit earners or program completers are prepared for teaching in their field of specialization either in government or private institutions.

Objectives

Metro Manila College, in its effort to attain excellence in the academic community, aims to fulfill its responsibilities in the delivery of all its programs and services.

Instruction
Metro Manila College shall continuously provide:

      1. Relevant and quality education through its latest curricular offering;
      2. Committed, dedicated and well-trained learning facilitators and support personnel;
      3. Positive teaching-learning environment; and
      4. Adequate provision of modern facilities in the delivery of quality instruction.

Research
Metro Manila College, in its desire to enhance the acquisition of knowledge shall conduct research for the betterment of instruction. The findings and suggestions of which will become the guiding principle of school administrator in formulating policies geared toward academic excellence.

Extension
Metro Manila College in the fulfillment of its corporate social responsibility shall:

      1. Share its resources through the Office of Community Extension Services (CES);
      2. Organize Community Extension Service Programs and Projects (CESPP) through the following:
        • Community Organization
        • Literacy Program (knowledge and skills transfer);
        • Livelihood Program (income-generating skills); and
        • Character and Values Formation Seminar;
      3. Encourage and foster the spirit of volunteerism among the members of the academe to actively participate in its commitment to uplift their soci-economic status and;
      4. Establish linkages with NGO’s to help in its programs with Community Extension Services (CES)

Productivity
Metro Manila College shall continue to maintain communication with its graduates in their efforts to put into practice the institution’s Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives (VMGO), and learned knowledge through:

      1. Organization of the Metro Manila College Alumni Association (MMCAA).
      2. Maintenance of a complete and updated alumni database by creating website and directory where the status of their projects can be facilitated.
      3. Mobilization of resources to realize their continued support and gratitude to their Alma Mater.
      4. Establishment of Archive Unit (MMCAU) to keep records, documents and other pertinent data, all of which will showcase the institution’s achievements.
      5. Foster sustainable volunteerism to the community in coordination with Community Extension Service (CES)
