Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

The programs introduce the fundamentals of entrepreneurship that deals with the role of entrepreneurship in economic development. Topics on Filipino entrepreneurial economy, entrepreneurial motivation, government assistance and programs for entrepreneurs, development and growth theories and applications are included. The length of the program is 4 years degree program that centers on how to start and manage a business by combining management, accounting, finance, and marketing principles. This program is designed in order to equip students with necessary knowledge and skills in identifying business opportunities, business planning, financing, company valuation, and business management with the total units of 153.

 

  1. The field of accounting offers stimulating and challenging work that is constantly evolving. The BSA program seeks to prepare the student for Accountancy career. Specific sample job opportunities are the following:

Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting

This is the program that provides general accounting education to students wanting to pursue a professional career in management accounting. As a field of study, management accounting is a profession that involves partnering in management decision-making, devising planning and performance management systems and providing expertise in financial reporting and control to assist management in the formulation and implementation of an organization’s strategy. The length of the program is 4 years with the total units of 164.

    5. Conduct accountancy research through independent studies of relevant literature and appropriate use of accounting theory and methodologies;
    6. Employ technology as a business tool in capturing financial and non-financial information, generating reports and making decisions;
    7. Apply knowledge and skills to successfully respond to various types of assessments which includes professional licensure and certifications;
    8. Confidently maintain a commitment to good corporate citizenship, social responsibility and ethical practice in performing functions as an accountant; and
    9. Recognize the need for, and prepare to engage in lifelong learning.
