Program Goals
The Program aims to:
- Encourage research and inquiry on the nature, causes, treatment or punishment of criminal behavior and how criminal justice agencies function and respond to crime, criminals and victims
- Prepare the students for careers in crime prevention, law enforcement, scientific crime detection, correctional administration, public safety and allied fields
- Foster the values of leadership, integrity, accountability and responsibility while serving their fellowmen, community and country:

The Department of Criminology’s pool of professors is composed of the following: presiding judge, prosecutor, lawyer, professional criminologists, retired and active police, fire and jail commissioned officers, correctional officer, forensic chemist and technician from the National Bureau of Investigation, and not to mention our seasoned criminal investigators and highly qualified academicians. As graduate of this course, one can surely meet his/her dream of becoming either a criminology professor, police officer, law enforcer, crime investigator, undercover agent, detective, security officer, intelligence agent or operative of other law enforcement agencies like PDEA, NBI, Immigration, including Coast Guard to name a few.
